Supply Chain Management (SCM) helps wholesale trade businesses manage their vendors and inventory. This half-day SCM training course is provided by Zooloo to your staff as part of the DSM Suite 2.0 solution. Zooloo has adopted the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform, which is simple to use and maintain.
Topic 1 Vendor Management
If the vendor is not registered, you first need to register them as a vendor. A new Vendor Card opens, pre-filled with the information from the selected vendor template.
Topic 2 Purchase Order and Goods Received
A purchase quote can be used as a preliminary draft for a purchase order. After the vendor responds to the purchase quote and you accept all the conditions from your vendor, you can convert your purchase quote to a purchase order.
A blanket purchase order represents a framework for a long-term agreement between you and your vendor. It is typically made when you have committed to purchasing large quantities to be delivered in several smaller shipments over a certain period.
When the purchased items are received, you will need to post the purchase order to update the inventory and financial records and to activate payment to the vendor according to the payment terms.
Topic 3 Invoicing and Payment Status
After posting a purchase receipt, you will receive the vendor invoice. After matching the ordered total to the invoiced amount, you will need to invoice the purchase order. It is possible to invoice one receipt or multiple receipts at the same time.
Topic 4 Inventory Management
For each physical product that you trade-in, you must create an item card of type Inventory. You can increase or decrease the quantity of an item in inventory by posting directly to the item ledger entries, for example, after a physical count or if you do not record purchases.
